REI Union Contract
Update

On Tuesday night, after two days of contract negotiations and extensive conversations about the potential for compromise, REI presented its January contract offer as its final offer - without making any changes. As you all know, on February 4th you and your coworkers rejected this same offer by 98.5%, with 93% of you participating in the vote.

Despite your overwhelming rejection, REI refused to reach a deal with us.

We, your national bargaining committee, are incredibly disappointed and angry at REI’s decision. But we remain resolute and committed to reaching a fair contract with REI and are prepared to build solidarity across our stores and co-op members to make it clear to REI that its only viable path forward includes a contract.

There is much to discuss about this week. In the coming days, we will announce national and local town hall dates for us and staff negotiators to share more details on both the final days of bargaining and the road ahead.

We will not stop fighting until we have a fair contract to ratify.
